Terms and Conditions

By registering my child(ren) to play for a team within the Inglewood Saints Basketball Club (a part of St Peter's Sports Association Inc.):

Assumption of Risk

I/we acknowledge that participation in basketball activities, including training, games and any associated activities conducted by St Peter's Sports Association Inc. ("the Club"), is undertaken at my/our own risk.

I/we understand and accept that St Peter's Sports Association Inc. accepts no liability for any personal injury, loss, damage, theft or other harm suffered by me/us or my/our child(ren) arising from participation in these activities.

Code of Conduct

I/we agree to comply with the Basketball WA Code of Conduct as players, parents, guardians and spectators.

I/we acknowledge that any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action as determined by the Club and/or the East Perth District Basketball Association (EPDBA).

Competition Rules and By-Laws

All games are conducted under the administration of the East Perth District Basketball Association and are governed by the EPDBA By-Laws, which are available on the EPDBA website and may be amended from time to time.

Player Fees

Each player's fees comprise:

  • Basketball WA and Basketball Australia annual levies.

  • East Perth District Basketball Association fees (including games, court hire and umpiring).

  • Inglewood Saints Club fees (including equipment, trophies, presentation/wind-up activities and administration costs).

From the Summer 2025/26 season onwards, the EPDBA fee is paid directly to the East Perth District Basketball Association. Should a player withdraw from the season, any refund of this portion of the fee must be sought directly from EPDBA in accordance with their refund policy and By-Laws.

Additional Court Hire and Coaching Fees

Some teams may incur additional costs for court hire and/or paid coaches. Where applicable, parents/guardians will be advised of these arrangements in the team's Welcome to Season communication.

By registering their child, parents/guardians acknowledge responsibility for their share of any advised court hire and/or coaching costs.

Any invoice issued by the Club for court hire and/or coaching fees must be paid within ninety (90) days of the invoice date.

Volunteer Coaches and Team Managers

The Club relies on parent and guardian volunteers to undertake coaching and team manager roles.

Any parent or guardian volunteering as a coach or team manager must hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and provide a copy to the Club prior to commencing their role.

Where a volunteer does not currently hold a WWCC, they are required to apply for one before undertaking coaching or team management duties. The Club will reimburse the cost of obtaining a WWCC upon receipt of proof of payment.

For teams that train on school grounds, volunteer coaches and team managers must also hold a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Police Clearance). A copy must be provided to the Club prior to commencing the role or accessing school facilities.

The Club will reimburse the cost of obtaining a required Criminal History Check upon receipt of proof of payment.

Volunteers are responsible for ensuring their WWCC and Criminal History Check remain current throughout the season and for notifying the Club of any change that may affect their eligibility to work with children.

Uniform Requirements

Inglewood Saints playing shorts form part of the Club's compulsory playing uniform and must be purchased by all players.

Following the completion of grading, all players are required to wear the official Inglewood Saints playing shorts to all games. Failure to wear the approved playing shorts may result in a uniform infringement penalty being issued by EPDBA. Any fines or penalties imposed by EPDBA as a result of a player not wearing the required playing shorts will be the responsibility of the player's parent/guardian and must be reimbursed to the Club upon request.

Playing jerseys remain the property of the Club and are provided for use during games only. To minimise wear, damage and staining, players should not wear their playing jersey before or after games, at training sessions, or for any purpose other than official match play.

At the conclusion of the season, jerseys must be returned in a clean and reasonable condition, allowing for fair wear and tear. Where a jersey is not returned, or is returned with excessive damage, staining, alteration, loss, or any condition that renders it unsuitable for future use, the Club reserves the right to charge the parent/guardian the cost of repair or replacement.

Club Refund Policy

The Club's refund policy for the Inglewood Saints Club fee is as follows:

  • Withdrawal within the first two (2) weeks of the season: 75% refund.

  • Withdrawal after two (2) weeks and before the mid-season point: 50% refund.

  • Withdrawal after the mid-season point: no refund.

Where a player is unable to continue due to injury, a medical certificate must be provided. Upon receipt, the Club may consider a pro-rata refund at its discretion.

Team Forfeits

EPDBA will allow a team to forfeit without penalty where more than seven (7) days' notice is provided. Requests must be submitted to the Club by the team's coach or manager at least seven (7) days prior to the scheduled game.

Where less than seven (7) days' notice is provided, a fine or penalty may apply in accordance with EPDBA By-Laws. Any such cost incurred by the Club will be shared equally amongst all registered players within the team, including the coach and/or manager where they do not have a child registered in the team.
